Coming just a few short weeks after its initial release, Titanium Mobile Beta gains new support for native UI controls. This means that the mobile apps you develop with HTML, CSS and Javascript include real native controls that look great and always behave as expected.

Support for native UI controls is one of many reasons to launch Titanium Developer to upgrade to the latest bits right away. Additional new features include:
- A new server-side API for analytics
- Support for iPhone OS 3.1
- Support for building apps on Snow Leopard
- Performance improvements
- Fixes to issues raised by developers like you
Native UI controls expand on Titanium Mobile’s long list of supported functionality, including: geo-location, photos, file system/database storage, and touch/accelerometer controls; because you’re working with web technologies, you can build mobile apps using your existing skills and in half the time.
Updated Developer Resources
The following resources are available to help you create uncommonly awesome apps:
- Codestrong.com now features expanded developer documentation and additional details on all of the supported functionality.
- Kitchen Sink a sample application featuring virtually all iPhone/Android APIs, is updated to include native controls. Download the source code.
- Mobile Developer Webcast, Thursday July 16 at 10am PDT. This live webcast presented by Appcelerator engineers shows how you can incorporate native controls into your mobile apps.
- Appcelerator Support Forums is where you can provide the feedback that helps make Titanium the best product available. Report bugs, problems and any new features you’d like to see.

Did you got it working under Snow Leopard? I’m having a problem here.
Hey Fernando.
I’m using Snow Leopard on my machine and both 3.0 and 3.1 and have had no issues. Of course, most internally are still on Leopard.
Can you please post details of your issues at http://support.appcelerator.net and we can test them internally and figure out a fix (if necessary)?
Thanks.
Jeff
Did it, but still no answer. I’m using the latest Snow Leopard build.
System Version: Mac OS X 10.6 (10A411)
Kernel Version: Darwin 10.0.0b4
Boot Volume: Macintosh HD
Boot Mode: Normal
Computer Name: Fernando Valente’s MacBook
User Name: Fernando Valente (fernandovalente)
Secure Virtual Memory: Enabled
64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No
Time since boot: 4:37
I tried installing the latest version of Titanium Mobile avaliable(0.52), but it displays an error “Some files failed to download. Cannot continue”. Here’s the topic I posted:

I found out it’s a problem with the server, not with Titanium Mobile, but I can’t find a way to solve it.
Did you have this problem? If the answer is yes, how did you solve?
