Titanium Application Contest Leaderboard

by Jeff Haynie on April 16, 2009

So it’s halftime for the Titanium Application Contest and we all want to know, who’s in the lead?! Who’s going to take home that extra stimulus money AND, of course, the undying love and devotion of Nolan and myself? You may be thinking, what’s the status of my app, can I still enter, who chooses the winner, what do I win, do I really want that much attention from Appcelerator’s banjo brothers? You’ve heard that banjo right?

Well, wait no longer Appcelerator fans. We’ve got a snapshot of the leaderboard for you. In the most downloads competition, @abhicool’s “Raviex Videos” app is dominating the field with a whopping 345 downloads! The race for highest rated app, however, is neck and neck, with @chadauld’s “ti-sideline” holding onto a slim lead over @andiskater’s “NuShell” and @funkatron’s “Searchatron.” Here’s how the stats break down:

Most downloads:

Raviex Videos – 345 download
ti-sideline – 70 downloads
Searchatron – 44 downloads

Highest rated:

NuShell – 4.4 stars out of 8 votes
In a box – 4.3 stars out of 7 votes
How do you do? – 4.1 stars out of 7 votes

Not seeing your favorite app? Vote it up! That’s right, it’s up to you, the community, to decide the winner. You download the apps, you rate the apps, we give the prizes. Keep in mind you can only rate each app once, so make sure you’ve got your final answer before clicking.

Remember that the contest ends Monday, April 20 at 5:00 p.m. PDT so it’s not too late to publish your app, tweet it, and tell all your friends to vote for it and download it. It’s still anyone’s ballgame. Will a newcomer usurp Raviex Videos or will it hold on to take the crown? We’ll be announcing the winners right here on Tuesday, April 21. Continue to check out @appcelerator on Twitter for real-time updates. Stay tuned…

Screen shots of the app and brief descriptions of the app on the download page would be helpful for a new visitor like myself trying to find out what titanium is.

Cheers
